What Exactly is Salehoo?
Salehoo is not a supplier itself – it's a directory of about 8,000 wholesalers, drop-shippers, liquidators and manufacturers. The company is based in New Zealand and most of their suppliers are based in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and China.
It's a tool that online resellers use to search for and compare suppliers and their products (you can search by product name, brand name, category, etc.). Salehoo doesn't actually sell anything – just think of it as a sourcing tool for resellers, a marketplace where you can find products at wholesale prices. It is actually quite similar to using a wholesale version of eBay.
Once you've found suppliers for what you want on Salehoo, you use the Salehoo interface to contact the supplier and buy directly from them.
There are over 75 different categories of products including electronics, computers, clothes, furniture, books and entertainment - click here to preview them. Salehoo has a database of about 8,000 suppliers (as of December 2016, up from about 6,300 when I first joined), all of which have been checked and reviewed by Salehoo's staff to avoid scammers getting in. There are also reviews/ratings for each supplier, written by Salehoo members who have traded with them.
